Meet Our Creative Team
Luke Frawley

Luke graduated from Mary I with a BA in Contemporary and Applied Theatre Studies in 2019 and has directed many plays both throughout and after. With Mary Immaculate Dramatic Arts Society (MIDAS), he directed several plays, including Almost Maine by John Cariani, Celebration by Harold Pinter and The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. With Torch Players, he directed Chekhov’s one act The Proposal. He also created the Weird Gravy Theatre Collective in 2019, where he directed The Weird Gravy One Acts, which comprised of two original pieces: The Pitch by Dr. David Clare and Kebabs and Hookers by Shane O’Neill. Luke and Shane went on to take Kebabs and Hookers to the 2020 Scene + Heard Theatre Festival in Smock Alley Theatre, Dublin. Most recently, he has directed Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons by Sam Stiener with Torch Players in the Belltable, Limerick. As well as this, Luke has been working as a full-time stage technician.

Ronan Deegan
Ronan is an emerging theatre-maker based in Limerick city. First becoming interested in theatre during his time in Mary Immaculate College Writers’ Society, Ronan has since written, directed and performed in work presented at Smock Alley’s Scene + Heard Festival, Galway Fringe Festival, Barnstaple FringeFest and Limerick Fringe. In 2019, he directed Hello My Name is Single at Limerick Fringe 2019 which, after a sold-out run, won the Spirit of Fringe Award and went on to feature in the 2022 Glastonbury Music Festival. Ronan co-wrote, produced and directed Stage Frights 2021 and 2022. Most recently, he performed in the Weird Gravy Showcase in December 2022, playing the role of Austin in the play With Love for My Two Daughters.

James Corr
James is a graduate of the BA in Contemporary and Applied Theatre Studies (BA CATS) programme in Mary Immaculate College. He has been acting and involved in theatre and film throughout Limerick from a very young age, and has worked both on stage as a performer and behind the scenes in various production roles. James had his professional acting debut in the Honest Arts production of Waiting for Poirot. James has also appeared in the RTÉ production, Hidden Assets. Most recently, James has performed in the last two Lime Tree Theatre pantomime productions, and directed Things to be Said as part of the Weird Gravy Showcase.
